Mission & Values

Love, Serve, Grow.

Three simple but significant ideas that help define what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

We would love to have you find a meaningful place to connect to our church family. If you have questions about our church, let us know. We are here to serve you.

Love
Jesus said, "You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment." (Matthew 22:37-38) We love God with all our hearts through passionate worship, faithful obedience, and an infectious desire to share his love with everyone.

Serve
We want to live like Jesus. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45) We live our lives for others by serving our families, our community and our church through the power the Holy Spirit gives to us.

Grow
The Bible says we "must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18) We gather together to help each other grow strong in faith, grow in grace, and grow to be more like Jesus.

Since 1922, we’ve been a part of Nanaimo.

Generations Church is a inter-generational, multi-cultural spiritual family that has been part of the community of Nanaimo since 1922. Back then we were called “Evangelistic Tabernacle”, before changing our name to “ET Family Church” in the 1990s. In 2013 we updated our name to reflect who we are: an intentionally intergenerational community.

We are affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, a Fellowship of more than 1,100 churches across Canada with more that 3,500 pastors and ministry leaders in Canada and over 300 global workers in 60+ countries around the world committed to the 1.5 billion who have never heard about Jesus.
